MAXIMISING PUBLIC INFORMATION AND INDIVIDUAL PRIVACY
“We must all get it right, or suffer the consequences”
The Information Commissioner can fine organisations up to €20 million, or 4% annual global turnover (whichever is higher) for a serious breach of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 and there are new criminal offences for anyone who fails to protect personal data.
Why is information governance important?
Information is the life blood of any organisation. Managing it well is essential to supporting both service delivery and the efficiency of your organisation.
