TRAINEE INFORMATION GOVERNANCE OFFICER

Salary £17,722 - £20,661 plus up to 3% performance related pay

Ahead of the roll out of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in May 2018, we are looking to expand our team of information governance specialists. This role represents an excellent opportunity to train for a professional career in the public sector.

Reporting to the Information Governance Manager you will assist in the delivery of high quality services to our clients and undertake training to become a public sector information governance specialist.  The role includes providing advice on data protection matters, responding to information requests and completing ad-hoc project work.

The package includes membership of a company pension scheme, performance related pay, generous leave entitlement, flexible working arrangements, and supported study leave.

You should hold a good degree (or be in the final year of your degree course) or have equivalent specialist knowledge. You should also be outgoing, enthusiastic and self-motivated, be willing to work with others in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills.

The post will be based at our Northallerton office but will involve some travel.

INFORMATION GOVERNANCE MANAGER

Salary up to £41,025 plus 3% performance related pay

Ahead of the roll out of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in May 2018, we are looking for an Information Governance Manager to help deliver information governance services to our increasing portfolio of public sector clients. The role will include the development of action plans, the supervision of staff, the management of a programme of compliance audits, and the provision of training and specialist advice. In addition, you will play a key role in the company’s ambitious plans to expand the delivery of services to new sectors and clients.  

You should be able to manage your own time, develop good working relationships with clients and be able to communicate effectively. You should also be confident, excellent at identifying solutions and be willing to question and challenge established practices. 

You should hold relevant qualifications in data protection and information governance and have an in-depth knowledge of data protection legislation and its application within the public sector. Knowledge of GDPR is essential and experience of information security compliance and/or project management would be advantageous.
