Support our running team in the Yorkshire Marathon: raising money for the Trussell Trust

29 September 2022

Our running team are excited to take part in the Yorkshire Marathon once again. This year we have a relay team of six runners, raising money for the fantastic work of the Trussell Trust.

Veritau’s team has chosen this charity – who support a national network of food banks – to support those in need during difficult economic times.

Between them, our six runners will run the full length of the marathon on Sunday 16 October. Donations can be made through our JustGiving page at:

The Trussell Trust’s website says:

“Our vision is for a UK without the need for food banks. We say this because it’s not right that anyone cannot afford their own food. That’s why we are working towards a just, compassionate future, where no one should have to use a food bank to get by. Our vision is ambitious, but we know that if we work together it is possible. We can create a future where nobody goes hungry, because nobody will allow it – when we work Together for Change.”

Last year we entered two relay teams in the Yorkshire Marathon and were delighted to raise over £400 for the Fire Fighters Charity. Here’s their post-run photo from 2021:
