SENIOR INFORMATION GOVERNANCE OFFICER
Salary: £28,785 - £32,878 plus 3% performance related pay
Hours: Full time (37 hours per week)

Veritau provides a professional service to a number of councils, housing associations, schools and other public sector clients across the county. We employ over 50 people across the group serving six member councils and over 400 clients.

Our mission is to deliver efficient, effective and professional assurance services which are responsive to the needs of our customers and which are held in high esteem. We are currently looking for a Senior Information Governance Officer to join our team and help us to achieve this ambition.
As Senior Information Governance Officer you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of data protection services to a number of our public sector clients. This will include the development of action plans and policies, the supervision of staff and the provision of training and specialist advice. In addition, you will be key to achieving our ambitious plans to expand the delivery of services to new sectors and clients.
To be successful you will need to develop good working relationships with clients. The ability to identify solutions and be willing to question and challenge established practices will be essential. You should hold relevant qualifications or have extensive experience in data protection and information governance and have an in-depth knowledge of data protection and related legislation, and its application within the public sector.

The post will be based at our Northallerton office and will involve some travel.
