The Veritau group consists of two local authority controlled companies, Veritau and Veritau North Yorkshire. The group provides internal audit, counter fraud, risk management and information governance related services to a number of councils and other public sector clients in the Yorkshire area.

We currently have a vacancy for:

TRAINEE FRAUD INVESTIGATOR

Salary £19,554 - £21,589 plus up to 3% performance related pay

This role represents an excellent opportunity to train for a professional career in the public sector.

You will undertake training to become a public sector counter fraud specialist with an Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS) qualification. Reporting to the counter fraud manager you will assist in the investigation of suspected fraud cases across a range of public sector clients.

The package includes membership of the local government pension scheme, performance related pay, generous leave entitlement, flexible working arrangements, and supported study leave.

You should hold a good degree (or be in the final year of your degree course) or have equivalent specialist knowledge. You should also be outgoing, enthusiastic and self-motivated, be willing to work with others in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills.

The position will be based at our York office, and will involve some travel in and around the North Yorkshire area.
