Veritau’s fraud team shortlisted for prestigious award
4 October 2019

Veritau has been announced as a finalist at the Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs) 2019.
Sponsored by Cifas, the UK’s leader in fraud prevention, the awards recognise those working to combat economic crime and provide an opportunity for outstanding performers in the field to be recognised. We are proud to be nominated alongside teams from HMRC, the Cabinet Office and Serious Fraud Office.
Our counter fraud team is shortlisted for two awards: Outstanding Team and Outstanding Training Initiative. Veritau turned 10 years old this year so the submissions focused on the team’s achievements during this time, despite the challenges facing local government.
The team work for 14 different public sector clients and have produced real savings of over £2million in the last four years.
Our team was also nominated for Excellence in Counter Fraud by the IRRV for the fourth year running earlier this year.
We are pleased to be named as a finalist for the Training Initiative award which recognises Veritau’s graduate training programme that began in 2010. Every year Veritau recruits graduates across the different areas of the business.
In the counter fraud team, the graduates spend two years training. They also study for the Professional Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist qualification. The nominations are not only a credit to Veritau but to all our clients who have contributed to our ongoing success over the past 10 years.
